I am a fourth year Ph.D. student in the Linguistics Department at Queen Mary University of London. Broadly speaking, I am a sociolinguist who is interested in language variation and change.

My doctoral research explores how technology is implicated in language variation and change. Specifically, I am interested in variation in the speech of teenagers in East London and what their use of social media can tell us about the social meaning of variation.

I am also a Research Assistant on the Project 'Teach the Children English' Migration as a Prism for Viewing Ethnolinguistic Vitality in Northern Ireland (PI: Prof. Karen Corrigan, Newcastle).

You can find out more about what I research in the about me or the project sections of this website.
