I am a third year Ph.D. student in the Linguistics Department at Queen Mary University of London. Broadly speaking, I am a sociolinguist who is interested in language variation and change.
My doctoral research explores how technology is implicated in language variation and change. Specifically, I am interested in variation in the speech of teenagers in East London and how these individuals use social media.
I am also a Research Assistant on the Project 'Teach the Children English' Migration as a Prism for Viewing Ethnolinguistic Vitality in Northern Ireland (PI: Prof. Karen Corrigan, Newcastle).
