Edina Balczó is a UK based guitarist, composer, performer, educator who is originally Hungarian and lived there most of her life, but since 2008 she has been living in East London.
She was a selftaught guitarist for many years, but she had some private lessons from two guitarists for half a year separately: Andras Varga (flamenco) and Adrien Miller (jazz). Because of being selftaught for such a long time she developed her own original style, which is a mixture of flamenco, classical, percussion and spanish jazz.
She became extremly popular on youtube after he flamenco performances and guitar lessons. Her channel got honours several times (most subscribed, most viewed). She has
. From 2009 January she became a Youtube partner. Because of the popularity achieved there she got an endorsement from
GuitarPro, the tablature editor program and she is among their international artists.
At the moment her projects are:
De fuego guitarduo with
Davide Lufrano Chaves for live performances, gigs and festivals in the UK. They have already played some of the top clubs in London, including
Ronnie Scott's and
Hootananny. In 2011 they are also invited some of the biggest festivals in UK, like
Glastonbury festival,
Secret garden party and also to
Sziget festival in Hungary.
Movie soundtrack with
Sarvari G, they are now composing the entire music of a short movie Blue Balloons (2011,
I am film).
Her music also appeared in a documentary film, called
A technicolor dream (2008,
Eagle Vision).
