Control Systems Group
Our group is in the Division of Mechanical Engineering, Robotics and Design under the School of Engineering and Material Science and also the Advanced Robotics Lab, at Queen Mary University of London
We focus on control theory and control applications. Our research objective is to make contributions to fundamental control theories and develop novel control methods to resolve practical engineering problems. In theoretical aspects we are interested in (but not limited to) the following topics:
- Model Predictive Control
- Constrained Optimal Control, Anti-windup Compensation
- Robust Optimal Control, Adaptive Control, Sliding mode control
- Nonlinear Systems, Absolute Stability Theory
In control applications we are interested in the following topics:
- Sustainable Energy Systems such as Marine Energy
- Battery Power Management and Electric Vehicles
- Marine Engineering, Launch and Recovery
- Robotics, UAV
- Hybrid Dynamics Testing Methods
- and more interesting and promising areas...
