I am a third year Ph.D.
Linguistics student at QMUL. I will complete my
dissertation in Autumn 2013.
I
am interested in sociolinguistic variation, and in particular in the
relationship between people's beliefs and the forms of language they
use. My dissertation explores the relationship between
sociolinguistic variation and epistemological variation.
My research may offer insight into the basis of
sociolinguistic variation in general, and it also provides a
linguistic method for the analysis of variation in belief
systems, both intra- and inter-culturally.
