Paul Elbourne

I am Reader in Semantics in the Department of Linguistics at Queen Mary, University of London.

The bulk of my research is on semantics and the philosophy of language. I have worked especially on pronouns, definite descriptions, demonstratives, names, ellipsis, and implicit content. I occasionally work on Indo-European comparative philology, especially the reconstruction of the Proto-Indo-European stop system.
