Our
research involves the study of the structure, dynamics and metal binding
properties of amyloidogenic proteins that are involved in neurodegenerative
diseases, such as new variant Creutzfeld-Jakobs Disease (vCJD) and
Alzheimer's Disease (AD). Our work is divided between studies of the
Prion protein (PrP) and the Amyloid-beta peptide fragments. Using
a range of biomolecular spectroscopic facilities available here at
Queen Mary, University of London, we employ a multi-faceted approach
to the properties of these important proteins.
